The company was founded by Chris Keating in 1996 and was initially operated as a small home based business. Having previously worked with essential oils, Chris' aim was to offer high quality aromatherapy oils without the high price tag! Chris was later joined by his wife, and trained aromatherapist, Karen, and together they have grown the business to what it is today.

Chris and Karen remain at the heart of the company, which is now based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Melton Mowbray is known as England's 'Rural Capital of Food' and is most famous for its pork pies and stilton cheese!

Base Formula employs highly qualified aromatherapists and natural health experts who are committed to developing top quality products for professional use and for customers to use at home. They are always on hand to offer their advice and answer any natural health questions that our customers might have.
